VRC Men strike double gold at the ATIR Race 2015

Wind, check! Big water, check! VRC Victories, check! VRC and the ATIR 2015 delivered!

Well done to all enlisted VRC crews and especially the Unlimited and Standard Men crews who both closed the ATIR 2015 with shinny and well deserved gold medals.

The VRC Unlimited Men competed in a brand new lightweight Malolo canoe from Puakea Designs and kept it from start to finish in the lead of the race in front of the experienced RHKYC race crew.

The VRC Standard Men crew had to battle it until the end against a very strong, competitive and determinate RHKYC standard crew. Both crews took the lead many times all along the race but VRC proudly kept it last.

The VRC Unlimited Women completed the race with a very respectable 4th place. Well done ladies and congratulations to the RHKYC crew who finished the race first, in front of the rarely beaten HKOCC crew.

The VRC Standard Mixed crew finished in 7th position which also represents a great result for a half rookie crew.

Big thanks to the RHKYC for a great race and our new sponsor Pololi (pololikai.com) who supported us for the first time during this event!

The OC6 2015 season is a wrap and VRC is on top! Special mention to both VRC Unlimited and Standard Men crews! Both crews won all races they joined in 2015!  See you in 2016 for more wins!
